Repairs are complete to the Lady Catherine and she's home and looking great! Well done to everyone who helped this morning and a special thanks to the Clonmel Rowing Club who helped with the lift.
![]() This is a very special invitation offered to all members of the International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission (IBCPC). As a breast cancer survivor and member of IBCPC, you are invited to submit an expression of interest to attend one of the Send Me on Vacation (SMOV) programs for 2019. Individuals can attend either as a new recipient or an ‘angel’. All new recipients or angels must be breast cancer survivors. Click on the link below for more information. http://ibcpc.com/send-me-on-a-vacation/ Unfortunately the Monasterevin to Athy "Fun Paddle" has been postponed for the moment. KACC will inform us once a new date has been decided upon. However, we still have the 10km Circuit Dragonboat Run in Carlow to look forward to, Kathleen is currently taking names for the event which will take place Sunday 24th March. See the updated events page on the website for more details.
We are all so proud here at Suir Dragon Paddlers of our very own Annette Hahessy. Annette is part of the choir named "Sea of Change" that took part in Ireland's Got Talent on Saturday night wowing judges with their inspirational version of "This is me!" All of the women in the choir have been affected by cancer either directly or through a loved one and their emotional performance last night prompted the judge Denise Van Outen to give them a “golden buzzer” into the live semi-finals. We can't wait to see more of Annette and Sea of Change in the live semi-finals and we will have our voting fingers at the ready! Annette you and your lovely friends are an inspiration to women everywhere and we wish you continued success in the competition. We're in safe hands! Congratulations to our Suir Dragon Paddlers who successfully completed CPR training recently. Thank you to Dolores and Joe who facilitated the training.
