Well done to members of the Suir Dragon Paddlers who were recently invited to participate in the inaugural Applefest festival in Clonmel on Sunday, September 30th, 2018
The Applefest aims to highlight and celebrate the agricultural and industrial heritage of Clonmel while promoting biodiversity and well being, and what better what to promote well being than taking to the water in a Dragonboat!
With this in mind, our members took this opportunity to promote the club and to explain the ethos behind Dragon boating. This includes raising awareness of breast cancer and the benefits of exercise after a diagnosis, in a fun and physical way while enjoying the mutual support from other members of the club.
Club members were delighted with the interest from the public who were invited to come to the Clonmel Rowing Club and try Dragon boating for themselves at one of our weekly sessions.
If you are interested in joining or supporting the club please contact us on this page.
